The comimission of HigtherThe Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) and the Philippines Commission on Higher Education (CHED) signed a joint statement on education collaboration on the sidelines of the second high-level Joint Commission on Bilateral Cooperation meetings in Ottawa, Canada.

The agreement will promote research, student and faculty exchange, curriculum enhancement and faculty development between Philippine and Canadian post-secondary institutions. Read more

Vietnam's growing ranks of middle class and wealthy consumers are falling for pricey, flashy products made by Japanese companies during Japan's bubble economy of the late 1980s and early '90s.  According to U.K. research company Euromonitor International, there were about 100,000 Vietnamese households with annual disposable incomes over $75,000 in 2013, up threefold from five years earlier. Read more
